I thought these would be the same size as the old hinges I have on the kitchen cabinets now but I find I am going to have to fill holes and redrill to make these hinges work. The hinges that are on the cabinets are original to the kitchen circa mid seventies. And the new hinges are missing the size by just enough to make it impossible to use them without the extra work.
I not happy about this and my husband isn't either since I told him it was the same size as the ones that were original. I even took one of the hinges off to measure it. I ordered at the same time door pulls and cup pulls for the drawers and they worked just fine the measurements for those were exactly the same.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought these to replace existing hinges. I called and spoke to a sales/tech representative and with a ruler in hand and tried to verify the dimensions of the hinge. After careful measurement of my existing in my hand and the hinge in the sales person in her hand, the dimensions were confirmed and the hinges were purchased. 3 of the 5 holes were correct, 2 were not, requiring re-drilling. More work, but doable.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

finally, matching knobs and hinges!

I bought Amerock knobs from a local hardware store and couldn't find hinges in distressed nickel to match. That's when I went to the internet and found Knobs and Hardware. I was more than delighted to find they had what I was looking for. The hinge feels substantial, the color is perfect and the self closing mechanism is just right - not too snappy and not too weak.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
