stamped backplate

We are replacing cabinet hardware during a kitchen rehab from cast satin brass with stamped brushed nickel. Finally with the help of a live chat we found a pull and a backplate in brushed nickel which were the appropriate sizes. We were dismayed when they arrived to see what stamped meant, compared to cast hardware. It seems flimsy and insubstantial and feels like it was cheap. It would be nice to have the option of both stamped and cast backplates, understanding that cast will always be much more costly.
